Glory grew up in Bellingham, Washington, in a college town about 20 minutes south of the Canadian border. She developed a love of food and cooking during childhood. While most kids her age watched cartoons in the morning, Glory watched the Food Network. She attended community college after high school, but quickly decided to change careers and enter the culinary world, when she realized that becoming a chef was her true calling. Ready for a change, she took a leap of faith and moved across the country to Miami, FL, to attend culinary school. She says that she has learned so much from living in the metropolis and being able to experience so many different cultures, stating that "everyone needs to eat, and food has a beautiful way of bringing people together – I want to be a part of that." As an indigenous woman, Glory says she pushes herself every day to break the stereotype of a successful chef. Her goal is to establish a restaurant of her own and have the honor of winning the James Beard Award.
